Kent Harpist Ellen, has performed in various locations throughout London and Southern England, both in Concerts and at private functions, particularly wedding ceremonies and receptions. Venues include The Dorchester, The Park Lane Hilton, Partridges Gallery on New Bond Street, Brown’s Hotel, London, Mayfair Intercontinental, Leeds Castle and Chilston Park Country House Hotel.

Typical Programme of background music includes traditional romantic harp music, transcriptions of popular classical pieces such as Pachelbel’s Canon in D, Debussy’s Arabesque and Satie’s Gymnopedie as well as a selection of light music including Cavatina from The Deer Hunter, Moon River and Gershwin Hit
Having specially chosen music performed live during a wedding ceremony can make all the difference by adding a personal and meaningful touch to the moment and to your memories.
The Ceremony
With the Ceremony, Ellen usually plays for a short period whilst guests are being seated, then for the Arrival of the Bride, the signing of the register and at the final procession of the bridal party and guests.
Alternatively a solo singer can add a more traditional element to the ceremony with such favourites as Schubert’s Ave |Maria or Puccini’s O mio babbino caro during the signing of the register. This is a particularly lovely option for a church wedding.
Drinks Reception
This is generally the moment seized by photographers to capture your wedding on film and can be a lengthy period for guests with nothing to do but drink celebratory champagne! Romantic harp music can provide a focus for guests and create a welcoming atmosphere whilst your presence is required elsewhere.
Wedding Breakfast
The harp, as well as being the most romantic and beautiful instrument, has a very intimate sound but can also be heard over a party of 200 guests. A mixture of musical styles played in the background can add a very special touch to the meal.

Member of the BBC Symphony Chorus performing at the BBC Proms including Last Night of the Proms and regular tours throughout Europe working under such conductors as Sir Simon Rattle, Claudio Abbado and Pierre Boulez.
In recognition of her work as a harpist and as a vocalist, Ellen won the 1994 Rochester-upon-Medway City Council Talent Trust Award.
